Small Ceramic Pouring Jug
The Small Ceramic Pouring Jug is part of an innovative and intricate homeware collection inspired by nature. The Edinburgh pottery studio, Emporium Julium, is where Julija Pustorvh wheel throws each piece.
The pottery is made from a mixture of recycled clays and sand collected from the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Julija explains 'the layered appearance of clay and sand combinations add a typography-like colouring to my work, creating imaginary sandscapes'.
The handleless jugs can be used to hold hot or cold liquids. They are ideal for serving small potions of milk, cream and sauces from or salt and sugar. When they are not in use they make a perfect display addition to a kitchen or dining room ceramic tableware collection.
The stoneware clay pourer has a shiny glaze finish on the inside and the top half of the outside. The bottom part of the outside is left with a raw finish to retain the natural colour and texture of the marbled clay. The subtle, earthy colours enhance the soft calming vibe of Julijas signed creations.
NB: Please note the piece you receive may not be exactly the same as those in the images shown. There will be some variation in pattern and slight variation in size.
