Today on the journal it’s all about Sustainable style. ‘Ethical shopping’, ‘Eco Chic’ and ‘Conscious Consumerism’ are all phrases that are increasingly highlighted in the retail industry.
We love to showcase home accessories that ooze sustainable style. Stylish and functional items that have been responsibly produced with responsible materials whilst not compromising on great contemporary design and quality. Many of our customers have sustainable values and are more and more integrating sustainable style into their lives. They are really interested in knowing how the artisans and small companies we work with are innovating to create beautiful homeware with materials that do not damage the environment as well as giving artisans and their families a much needed source of income.
Below are featured some of our carefully curated growing collection of homeware brands that ooze sustainable style.
Oohh, the Danish company has created the amazing Tokyo and Oslo bio-degradeable waterproof pots, vases and planters which are made with recycled paper and lined with a natural latex derived from the rubber tree. Their popular placemats are made with recycled plastic bottles and bags. All their products are a result of a fair trade project in Sri Lanka. We love their ethos which is to ‘enrich our lives and bring joy to our soul and home’.
