Our ceiling light pendant offerings also includes a very individual handcrafted cork collection from family owned and Manchester based Nove. The owner of the business, Kirsty Saxon, is an interior stylist who was inspired by her family trips to Portugal to create this beautiful collection.
Nove has classic and sophisticated design credentials.The pendants are made from Portuguese cork and each has it's own beautifully marbled or blackened pattern.Matte black or solid brushed brass edgings can be added to the cork pendants to give the lights a luxurious finish. The complimentary cable colours in a choice of khaki, gold or black are a perfect match for the cork pendants.
We also stock matching handcrafted solid steel Nove wall brackets in powder coated matte black or brushed brass. With their refined finishes they showcase the beauty of our Nove lighting collection. These brackets are ideal for situations where a plug in light fitting as opposed to a ceiling light fitting is required. Attractive Nove, brass and black table lamps are also part of our lighting collection and have been carefully chosen to sit perfectly alongside our pendant lights and ceiling shades.
One of the more recent additions to our range of lighting comes courtesy of Alex Price. Alex is a talented British based designer who has created an innovative and stylish lighting collection using traditional production and manufacturing methods. His stunning Black Kyoto Pendant Lights and Black Kyoto Table Lamps are carved and caste in raw solid blackened steel. They are finished with a handblown clear, white or smoked glass sphere which is shaped in a traditional wooden mould. The pendants come with round black cable and a black ceiling rose.These minimalist light fittings are an ideal choice for a modern monochrome room setting.

Whether you are looking for a shade or shades for a more traditional or contemporary room these versatile small and large ceiling pendants are a great way to add more interest to an interior space. In a larger hallway with higher ceilings they look great when several are hung from a large ceiling rose at different heights.
Another new up and coming designer lighting addition to room356 are our small and large Ni Ni Handmade White Ceiling Shades from design led and London based Clar formed by the creative Barbara Etter. Produced responsibly the simple clean lines of these unique shades are a perfect addition to an understated contemporary living room, bedroom, hallway or commercial setting. Barbara herself states that she strives to create lighting objects that 'comfort us with their calm simplicity and elegance'.
We suggest you play around with which way to hang them. Hang them one way to create a diamond shape and the other way to create a flower bud pattern. These shades are made from pergamenata which has a texture like ancient natural parchment. This material shows the geometry of the lampshades layers and gives off a warm, ivory glow when switched on. Choose to add your own flex and fitting or order with an accompanying white cord and white ceiling rose.
A welcome if somewhat different addition in style to our other light fittings are our three Balinese Sustainable Handwoven Rattan Shades. We decided to include them in our collection because not only do we love them but we feel they add a point of depth and contrast to a contemporary, modern interior and really complement our new Scandi Dining Table Range. These artisan pendants exude a natural simplicity and help create a relaxed inviting atmosphere in any room you choose to hang them .
